Shah’s Supporters Clash With Mossadegh Group

UPI - August 14, 1952 TEHERAN, Iran, April 9 (UP) — About 100 supporters of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlevi clashed with an equal number of supporters of Premier Mohammed Mossadegh in front of Parliament today.

Ten persons were injured by clubs. Six of the pro-Shah group were arrested.

The clash occurred shortly after the disclosure that the Shah had abandoned temporarily his plan to distribute some of his lands to the peasants because Dr. Mossadegh had complained it would create difficulties for other big land owners, like himself.
