War. Death. This Norouz, It’s Hard To Be Iranian

75 years after Iran’s Nationalization of Oil, the Iranian people are under siege by two rogue countries and their own ruthless government. This Norouz, it’s harder than ever to be Iranian.
“For the Happiness and Prosperity of the Iranian nation and for the purpose of securing world peace, it is hereby resolved that the oil industry throughout all parts of the country, without exception, be nationalized ; that is to say, all operations of exploration, extraction and exploitation shall be carried out by the Government.”
Today marks 75 years since
Oil Nationalization Day (March 20, 1951),
coinciding, as it usually does, with Norouz (Persian New Year).
This movement was wildly popular in Iran, supported across the whole spectrum of the country. Yet it brought the nation in direct confrontation with U.S. and British imperialism, and in the end, the forces of darkness prevailed.
With the twin crises of continued massacres and state executions by the Islamic regime and an illegal war launched by two supreme military powers, this is a difficult year to be an Iranian.
In view of the sequence of history, one might even say that this all started with the oil crisis itself.
«برای سعادت و رفاه ملت ایران و به منظور تأمین صلح جهانی، بدینوسیله مقرر میشود که صنعت نفت در تمام نقاطکشور، بدون استثنا، ملی شود؛ یعنی تمام عملیات اکتشاف، استخراج و بهرهبرداری توسط دولت انجام شود.»
امروز ۷۵ سال از روز ملی شدن نفت (۲۰ مارس ۱۹۵۱) میگذرد که طبق معمول با نوروز همزمان است.
این جنبش در ایران بسیار محبوب بود و از سوی تمام طیفهای کشور حمایت میشد. با این حال، ملت را در رویاروییمستقیم با امپریالیسم ایالات متحده و بریتانیا قرار داد و در نهایت، نیروهای تاریکی پیروز شدند.
با بحرانهای دوگانه قتل عامهای مداوم و اعدامهای دولتی توسط رژیم اسلامی و جنگی غیرقانونی که توسط دو قدرت برترنظامی آغاز شد، امسال سال سختی برای ایرانی بودن است.
